Home Depot Food Drive

By KBJR News 1

One employee at Home Depot in Duluth took a small idea to help a big problem.

Derick Tomich has organized a food drive for the victims of the Iowa Floods – and the Home Depot has spread the idea to many of its other stores.

"We're accepting any donation whether it be, you know, food, money, water, you know, anybody who's having rummage sales; bring your extra clothes here, you know, because these people need this stuff," Tomich said.

From Grand Rapids to St. Cloud, nine Home Depots have joined the effort to help the Iowa flood victims.

If you'd like to make a donation, the food drive runs through July 6th.
