MNDot To Open One Duluth-Bound Lane on Blatnik Bridge

By KBJR News 1

One Duluth-bound lane of the Blatnik Bridge will reopen at 9 a.m. this morning, easing congestion on the Bong Bridge.

Minnesota Department of Transportation (MNDot) officials say the work to repair gusset plates is going smoothly.

Construction on the bridge has been going on for about three weeks, requiring the closure of one side of the bridge and one lane in the other direction.

The DTA's route #16 buses will also return to regular routing once the Duluth-bound lane reopens.
