Holiday Skiers were able to get into the festive spirit today..
Spirit Mountain held their Santa on the Slopes celebration in conjunction with their Winter Solstice Celebration.
A special rate of ten dollars a ticket was available for anyone who came wearing their favorite holiday outfit. You couldn't just show up in a Santa hat though, a full outfit ranging from Santa to the Grinch was needed to participate.
As part of their celebration Spirit Mountain had specials at all of their food venues as well as their retail shops.
Skiers also got to enjoy s'mores around a fire. But even for non skiers, officials say that there is still fun for all at Spirit Mountain.
"We also have our tinsel twister at the adventure park. During the month of December we festive things up with ornaments and lights on our Alpine Coaster and run a fun event called the Tinsel Twister, so that's going on as well, and of course we have our tubing open, that just opened up yesterday. So lot's of fun things at Spirit Mountain," says Renee Mattson of Spirit Mountain.
Mattson also says there are more fun events to come. On January 11th they will be having a winter carnival, on February 14th "Sweethearts on the Slopes" will take place, and on March 15th they will be hosting a spring break luau.
