Whether it's sleeping in or spending the day fishing; many of us dream about our first day of retirement.

But there are some who hope that day will never come.

Recently, Microsoft Network Money named Duluth Entrepreneur Jeno Paulucci among the "coolest bosses" over the age of 80.

Today Jeno celebrated his 90th birthday on the job doing what he does best.

You see so many people that when they reach the age of 80, 85, 90 they slow down, not using their brain...they start deteriorating.
I'm going to keep working until the day I drop dead.

For over seventy years, Jeno Paulucci has been on the job....creating dozens of companies and thousands of jobs.

His secret to maintaining a successful business?

You've got to get the best qualified people to run it, you've got to keep in communication with them by phone, memo...sometimes meetings.

One of the Credos Jeno lives by says "he is not suited to be involved in big companies...even when he owns them."

Over the years he's created some mighty big companies; Chun King Foods, Jeno's Pizza Rolls and Michelina's.
Big or small-his management style remains the same.

At the Republic Banks...I've had David Gaddy there for seven years...I haven't been in that bank, maybe twice in seven years...why? I get my monthy reports...banks are growing...so why in the hell should I go and tell him how to run it? I'm not a banker, I don't like bankers...and don't know anything about banking...So I should go over there and tell him how to run it? No.

It's that management style that's earned Jeno millions of dollars, the title "United States Employer of the year" and the respect of his employees.

You don't just negotiate every contract term 3 or 4 years...you negotiate every day...because every one of our employees needs someone to talk to.

Another Jeno Credo is "The hands that help...are greater by far than lips that just pray."

Jeno's hands...have helped create several public facilities in his native state including the DECC, UMD's School of Medicine, Solvay Hospice House and the Northeast Minnesota Regional Library.

It's a privilege. Really, you know if you have the where with all to do it. How much money can you take to the mausoleum and how much can you leave the family? Well you family is also your community, your state, your nation.

While Jeno Paulucci may be one of the coolest bosses over 80, there is one person who has the power to "boss" the boss.

And that's his beloved wife of 61 years, Lois Mae Trepanier-Paulucci.
