Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- On Monday, the Senate made the call to restore emergency unemployment insurance to 2.3 million Americans who depend on it while searching for employment.

President Obama says Washington needs to put politics aside and help hard–working, responsible Americans make ends meet.

He emphasized that each week Congress fails to act on this crucial issue, roughly 70,000 long–term unemployed Americans lose their vital economic lifeline.

The President urged House Republicans to take up the bill without delay, and send it to his desk.
