Obama Office Opens in Duluth

Barack Obama's Campaign launched a statewide canvass and opened seven new offices across Minnesota today... including one right here in Duluth.

The Campaign for Change staff and volunteers will use the statewide locations to build an unprecedented grassroots organization aimed at bringing Obama's message of change to Minnesotans.

Following the official office opening, volunteers headed out into the community to knock on doors and talk to neighbors about Obama's ideas to strengthen the economy and as they say, "get America back on track."

Duluth City Councilor Roger Reinert reminds us we're only 4 months from the general election, "so it's time to get really busy on the important things that win campaigns, and that's talking to people personally, whether it's on the phone or going door to door, getting yard signs up, getting bumper stickers out... all those sorts of things."

A handful of other Duluth City Council members were there to support the grand opening.
