Wednesday Night At The Races

By KBJR News 1

Wednesday Night at the races kicked off today at Denfeld High School in Duluth on Wednesday. Tiffany Tarrolly has the story.

The free races are presented by the young athletes foundation and Grandma's Marathon.

Last year the Young Athletes Foundation worked with Courage Duluth to add a wheelchair division to Wednesday Night's races and two others.

Around 400 children run in each of the six Wednesday Night At The Races.

Their Motto is "Everyone's A Champion," so all of the runners receive a ribbon at the end of the race, and the first child across the finish line is awarded a trophy.
