CLOQUET, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A $27 million expansion is nearly complete at the Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet.
Community members got to see the progress during an open house this afternoon.
Some of the new features include new birthing suites with whirlpool tubs, four intensive care units, a new kitchen and cafeteria, and patient rooms with WiFi and TVs.
"The quality of the care has always been top-notch, and now the quality of the building catches up to that. The rooms are much larger than anything we had before. They're all private, which is not just aesthetically nice and what we all want, but it's actually good for patient care healing experience."
The new addition increased the campus by more than 50 percent.
