18yr Old Involved In Northern WI Bank Robbery

By KBJR News 1

An 18-year-old college scholarship basketball player from Minnesota has been charged in a robbery of a northern Wisconsin bank.

Anthony DiLoreto of Minnetonka is charged in Burnett County
Circuit Court with robbery of a financial institution and
possession of a short-barrel rifle.

Burnett County Sheriff Dean Roland says DiLoreto was arrested at
his Minnesota home on Saturday, several hours after he allegedly
served as the getaway driver in a robbery of the Bremer Bank in
Danbury.

The sheriff says a 16-year-old boy is being held in a juvenile facility in Eau Claire in the incident.

DiLoreto was the starting center and averaged eight points per
game for Hopkins, Minnesota, High School, the top-ranked team in
Class 5A for much of last season.

He earned a scholarship to Cal Poly in California this fall.
