Sustainable Twin Ports is launching its first community initiative.
The program is called the Early Adopter Project.
Fifteen northland organizations have been chosen to participate in this initiative.
Each company will receive comprehensive training and coaching in sustainability over the next year.
"So if we could a best practice, a role model, a light in this effort, and if we could pass the insight we gain to our members we think that would be a real powerful tool," says Dave Ross with the Duluth Chamber of Commerce.
The businesses chosen include:

4. Duluth Grill (Embers)
5. Superior Public Schools
6. London Road Car Wash
7. Superior Housing and Redevelopment Authority
8. Gloria Dei Luthern Church
9. Douglas County
10. Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce
11. Glenwood Signs and Awards
12. Duluth Transit Authority
13. Duluth-Superior Area Community Foundation
14. Twin Ports Testing
15. University of Wisconsin-Superior
