Duluth Branch Libraries To Remain Open

By KBJR News 1

Two branch libraries in Duluth will remain open a minimum of two days a week.

Mayor Don Ness announced today the West Duluth and Mount Royal branch libraries will keep some hours despite the city's budget crisis.

The branch libraries had been scheduled to close for the remainder of the year, starting on September 2.

Mayor Ness says he hopes that community volunteers will help keep those libraries open even more hours as the year progresses and into 2009.
