WI 32nd Brigade Combat Team Ordered To Duty

Wisconsin's 32nd Brigade Combat Team and six other units ordered to active duty in Iraq.

Mobilization will affect nearly 3,500 Wisconsin soldiers.

This will be the largest operational deployment of Wisconsin National Guard forces since World War II.

The Wisconsin National Guard units will report for duty at their local armories in mid-February 2009.

They include the first Detachment of Company "B," 1st Battalion, 128th Infantry, based in Rice Lake.

And the 2nd Detachment, 829th Engineer Company, based in Ashland
The Ashland unit served on active duty at Fort Lewis, Wash., from February to August 2003 when it was the 106th Quarry Team.
