DFL Party Attacks Coleman

By KBJR News 1

Thursday the D-F-L party re-enforced what Senate candidate Al Franken has been saying about current U - S Senator Norm Coleman all week... that as chair of the Senate's Permanent Subcommittee on Investigation...

Coleman should have looked further into the Iraqi reconstruction, and ensured everything was going according to plan.

D.F.L. spokesperson and Iraqi-war veteran Daniel Fanning says Coleman has cost American taxpayers more than $15 billion by hiring contractors to do jobs military personnel usually perform themselves.

"Why is it we're paying contractors and wasting all of our tax dollars paying these contractors such high wages when there's people that want to do that job and to me it looks like that's because people are profiting people like Haliburtan and K.B.R.," Fanning said.

In response to these attacks, Coleman's campaign says the current U-S Senator has an aggressive record of oversight... and he actually helped expose over $70 billion in government waste, fraud and abuse.

So what has Coleman accomplished? I would rather have a rookie who is willing to listen to his constituents than phony Norm who joined the Senate for the exclusive club that it is. The Republicans are happy to have him because he can be pressured to do what the want him to do.

Franken keeps trying to represent himself as the protector of the taxpayers. I don't know how he can do that with a straight face -- especially since he was caught evading income taxes himself. Check out this clip -- http://www.friendsoftheuschamber.com/takeaction/index.cfm?ID=191 His act isn't funny anymore. How can we trust him to be part of a government he is trying to cheat???
