Accused Killer In Hillside Murder Indicted

The accused shooter in the hillside laundry murder has been indicted by a Grand Jury.

St. Louis County Attorney Melanie Ford says a St. Louis County Grand Jury returned the indictment against

Terence Leon Callender, on one count of First Degree Premeditated Murder in the shooting death of James Alton Peterson on July 29, 2008.

The original complaint, charging Callender with one count of second degree murder, contained allegations that he shot Peterson three times at the Hillside Laundry on Fourth Street in Duluth.

Bail was set today at $500,000 and a pretrial conference was scheduled for September 30, 2008.
