Break-In At Superior Group Home

Authorities are investigating an armed intrusion at a Superior Group home.
Two assailants broke into the Mountainview Challenge Center.

Officials with the Superior Police Department said the break-in happened two Sunday's ago.

However, the Northlands News Center first got word of the intrusion from an anonymous source a few days ago and today, police confirmed a break-in did occur.

Authorities say two assailants entered Mountainview between four and five-thirty A.M. and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from a safe inside.

Police say the two suspects concealed their identity and so no one in the group home was able to identify them.
Authorities say one person inside the group home was slashed during the invasion.

No other information was provided about the individual's condition.
Though police say they belive the group home was targeted and not random, they still want to remind all residents to lock their doors and to consider purchasing an alarm system or motion detector system outside.

Police say both assailants remain at large and the investigation is ongoing
