The medical field is ever changing, making it hard for some health care professionals to keep up.
More than 18–hundred health care workers gathered at the DECC in Duluth today for Saint Louis County's 26th Annual Health and Human Service Conference.
LeAnn Wallace reports.
"Ohh It's wonderful, this particular convention is one I never miss."
From epilepsy to chemical dependency, mental health, to care for the elderly...this conference has all its bases covered.
This year's theme, "Every one of us right here, right now," focuses on diversity.
"Particularly paying attention to people that are serving all those with needs relative to human services and public health and its two days to bring those people together to nourish them and increase their knowledge and skill sets."
"There's so much variety out there and not everyone knows where to find the resources so here's a good place to come where you can find the resources you need for your job."
"This is Saint Louis County's largest conference featuring more than 2–hundred exhibits and workshops stock–full of health care information."
Conference attendees can browse medical related booths, meet with others in the health care field, and listen to various speakers and presentations.
The conference comes during a time many are concerned with status of our health care system.
"Our society right now we're having so much difficulty with medicare, with medicade, with health insurance, it's so important for people to know about what's out there for assistance."

Conference organizers say the event isn't just good for the health and well being of people, it also brings an economic boost to the Duluth area.
