Two Men Charged In Connection With Stabbing In Aitkin County

By KBJR News 1

Two men were charged today in connection with an assault this weekend in Aitkin County that left three men injured, one of them severely.

The suspects, 39 year old Troy Friend of Fridley and 30 year old Marland Stanley of Minneapolis, both face first and second degree assault charges.

After numerous 9–11 calls, Aitkin County deputies responded to reports of multiple stabbings at Lucky's Landing Bar and Café in Tamarak.

"We also had a description of the suspect vehicle and direction of travel on one of our county roads and a deputy patrolling the area came across the vehicle and by himself stopped the vehicle."

29–year old Tom Farah of McGregor and 38 year old Aaron Aho of Forest Lake both suffered stab wounds.

Farah was stabbed multiple times and was air–lifted to Hennepin County Medical Center.

A benefit is set up for Farah and his family at Members Co–op Credit Union in McGregor.

Both suspects are being held at the Aitkin County Jail on 500–thousand dollar bail each. Each man faces up to 20 years in prison.
