The Maranatha Academy held its annual Thanksgiving dinner, complete with mashed potatoes, turkey and cranberries.

Students dressed up as, pilgrims and Native Americans, and sang thanksgiving themed songs.

The Thanksgiving pageant is way for the students to give thanks to volunteers and pastors in the community.

Maranatha administrator Keith Russell says the program is great way to get the kids into the Thanksgiving spirit.

"They get the idea of thanksgiving, of all the different things we have and that's why we include the Christmas boxes for Samaritans purse, we live in a country where we have some much and there's a reason for that."

This isn't the only holiday pageant for the academy; they will also be holding a Christmas program next month.
