Banff Film Festival Comes to Duluth

Hundreds of film enthusiasts kicked off the Banff Mountain Film Festival's arrival in Duluth.

It's the fifth year the event has come to Duluth.

Originally held at the Omnimax, the event has outgrown its roots and moved to the Marshall Auditorium.

While the films come from all over the world, they tour stop in Duluth has local benefits.

Bryan French says the funds go to "support youth cross country skiing in Duluth. So, in past year's we've donated to 22, all of the area high school ski teams and we also put on a summer ski training program."

"It's a great show no matter what night you come. You're going to be entertained with a lot of fabulous films you won't see anywhere else," adds road warrior of the Banff Mountain Film Fest.

The event continues Monday night, starting at seven.

Ten bucks will get you in the door and about three hours of movie screenings showcased in the tour.
