The nationwide switch to digital is less than three months away... but residents on the Iron Range will receive the digital signal early.
Range 11 will turn off its analog signal on January sixth...but while one signal may be ending, five new ones will become available.
"It'll be the Range 11 signal your used to, CBS 3, CW, My Network TV and our 24 hour news now channel so there will be a lot more channels available to our Iron Range viewers when this transition happens."
The Northland's News Center will be the first station in the region to make the change to digital.
In order to make the switch, viewers will need to have a digital converter or a D-T-V ready TV if... they don't have cable or satellite.
Making the digital transition early... allows viewers the chance to see the benefits of digital television and also the ability to tackle any challenges that viewers might have.
