By KBJR News 1

The Wisconsin State Patrol reminds motorists that with the approaching winter weather storm systems moving into Wisconsin, road conditions can deteriorate rapidly and unexpectedly.

While driving during winter storms, motorists may encounter slippery and icy roads; blowing and drifting snow; reduced visibility and other hazardous driving conditions associated with winter weather.

Motorists are urged to delay travel in affected areas until the storm has subsided.

Current statewide highway information can be obtained by calling 5-1-1 or by visiting the 5-1-1 web site at www.511wi.gov
