A Union Pacific Railyard employee was hit by a train in Superior today.

The Superior Police and Fire Departments along with Gold Cross Ambulance Service responded to the area of 54th Avenue East around noon today.

The victim sustained a serious leg injury and was transported to St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth.

We will keep you updated on the status of the victim.
