Swine Flu Case Now Suspected in Minnesota

A new strain of flu... Dubbed swine flu has hit the U.S. after killing dozens in Mexico.

The list of people testing positive for the virus is growing here in the U.S., and so is the list of states... including here in Minnesota.

Kansas, Massachusetts, New York, Texas, and California also have confirmed or suspected cases.

The Centers for Disease Control says the virus spreads like other flu viruses, through contact and coughing and sneezing.

U-S health officials are warning people who may have recently traveled, or have flu-like symptoms to get checked by a doctor and take precautions.

Well there are 20 cases in the us, hardly an epidemic. this is a fear mongering story that will be sensationalized to keep people on edge and feel not in control of their own lives. Drink some more kool-aid and hit the evening service at your local business, i mean church.

Don't ask for perfection in news reporting! This doesn't happen everyday! Oh I forgot, we live in Duluth. Where all answers are in the negative! This flu is a real concern, we'll know more in a few days. But if it is real, just as they have done inMexico City already, People will be asked and some caes directed to stay home to minimize exposure. It would be a good idea to stock up on food, medications, etc. just as you would to prepare for a hurricane. Do it now, you don't want to be 1 of 10,000
