By KBJR News 1

The Greater Downtown Council and Duluth Downtown Waterfront District are seeking volunteers to help plant flowers for the Downtown Waterfront.

On Wednesday, May 27, 2009, crates of annual flowers will be delivered to Bayfront Park.

Approximately 180 street scape planters are stored at Bayfront’s parking lot, just waiting for helping hands to fill them with flowers.

City crews will then move the planters to adorn the sidewalks of the Downtown Waterfront this summer.

This annual event typically draws about 60 volunteers who are willing to lend a hand to help beautify the Downtown Waterfront.

Following the work project, volunteers will be treated to a free lunch thanks to our friends at the Inn on Lake Superior.

Please join us for this project!
