Stocking The Twin Ponds

Ever wonder how all those fish get into the ponds and streams around Duluth?

Some youngsters from Laura MacArthur Elementary in West Duluth have something to do with it.

For 26 years the "Arrowhead Fly Fishers", in conjunction with the Minnesota DNR have made sure there are fish in ponds around Duluth.

"Some of the kids have never seen a live fish and this is why we're doing it, and it's for the children especially. We hope that the adult people will stay away from the places we stock and let the kids go in and catch fish," said Harlan Bahn of the Arrowhead Fly Fishers.

70 children got the opportunity to help stock the Twin Ponds Thursday; the last of the six ponds to be stocked this year.
