Superior Man Charged For Role In Motorcycle Crash

A Superior man has been charged in last Thursday's motorcycle-car crash on Piedmont Avenue.

44 year old Brad William Thompson was driving a Jeep Wrangler northbound on Piedmont when he made a left hand turn onto 24th Avenue West.

The driver of the motorcycle, Richard Sobczyk was traveling south bound and was unable to steer clear of Thompson's Jeep.

The 43 year old Sobcyzk suffered multiple broken bones and deep lacerations to his head, face and leg.

He is now out of the hospital.

Thompson has been charged with criminal vehicular operation resulting in great bodily harm, fourth degree driving while impaired, failure to yield and no insurance.

He's out on bail and will be back in court on June 30th.
