Man Dies After Boat Capsizes

One man died and another was rescued after their boat capsized on Little Sandy Lake north of Bemidji.

The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office said the body of 45-year-old Wayne Paul Toenyan of Bemidji and formerly of St. Paul was found in about five feet of water.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another man was also in the boat when it capsized late Sunday
afternoon.

He was rescued and taken to North Country Regional Hospital to be treated for hypothermia.
