A car restoration shop in the Iron Range is taking a piece of Hollywood history, gutting it, and putting it back together.

Boua Xiong has the story.

She doesn't look like she used to. But she still is the same Christine, the same1958 Plymouth Fury used in the 80's horror movie also called Christine. How'd it end up here?

"We're doing the paint and body work to it and then it will be shipped back to California."

When asked about how their shop in Chisholm got the job of bringing Christine back to life, people here are modest.

They don't like talking about their clients. But they do like talking about their cars.

"This is a 1959 Impala convertible."

Christine is only one of about thirty cars Memory Lane Classics is currently restoring. And they don't just do Hollywood.

"We got anywhere from Australia to New Zealand to Ireland, Spain."

While Christine isn't their only project, they admit having her here has been fun. They even took her out last fall for the "Field of Screams" event in Chisholm.

"They couldn't believe that it was the car from the movie but it is."

Christine will be finished by November. And if you'd like to see her before she goes.

"It's an open door policy here...anybody that comes down the street we can take a tour through the building and show them exactly what we do in here."
