U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar will spend the first week of July visiting communities in northern Minnesota to discuss economic development and rural health care issues.

Klobuchar will hold roundtable discussions with businesses and local officials on rural health care and economic development issues, including tourism.

These meetings will be in Baudette, Bemidji, Grand Marais, International Falls and Walker.

She will also tour several businesses in the region – including Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls, Granite Gear in Two Harbors and Mattracks in Karlstad.

In Grand Marais and Park Rapids, Klobuchar will tour local health care facilities and discuss rural health care issues.

In addition, Klobuchar will visit Voyageurs National Park and meet with local veterans in Red Lake Falls and Roseau.

Klobuchar will also participate in several Independence Day parades.
