Franken Supporters Celebrate in Duluth

Closer to home Franken supporters and union members gathered in Duluth to celebrate the big win.

The unions campaigned relentlessly for Franken during the fall elections.
The crowd today brought with them homemade signs in support of Minnesota's newest senator as well as their hopes for what Senator Franken maybe able to accomplish in Washington.

D.F.L. supporter Gloria Walters said "He's always been progressive I know, sometimes he's been a little controversial but he really has a good heart and I think he's really smart and knows the issues and he really has good ideas for progressive issues."

Union officials say they hope Senator Franken will throw his support behind health care reform and the Employee Free Choice Act.
