Tall Ship Docks in Duluth

By KBJR News 1

A tall ship arrived in the Twin Ports on Thursday and it promises to be a instant hit with tourists.

The Denis Sullivan docked behind the DECC in Duluth to the delight of many. The tall ship is a replica of a 19th-century Great Lakes vessel used to haul iron ore and various other cargo.

Onlookers say they're excited to see the Sullivan in the bay.

"The tall ships are just part of the unique history and past of Duluth," said Vernon Williams, Duluth resident. "And being an integral part--it's great to see them come back."

The crew is offering day sails that are open to the Public beginning Monday. The vessel leaves port on Tuesday.
