This Fourth of July, folks across the nation mark this holiday weekend with parades, fireworks and backward barbeques.

Independence Day festivities here in the Northland are no exception.

In Duluth's Bayfront Festival Park, folks have been gathering all day for the annual Fourth Fest.

Throughout the afternoon, live music, food and kids games were available as a prelude to the evening's lineup of spectacular fireworks and live music by the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra.

The public finally got a chance to tour the 137-foot tall ship.

The Denis Sullivan, currently moored behind the DECC, sailed into Duluth on Thursday.

All 2-hour "sailaways" scheduled for Monday are already sold out.

It's just a shame to celebrate this nations independence while it's going out the window faster than ever before. When the Federal reserve was established in 1913 the independence was lost for good. I guess as long as we can light fireworks made in china, then jump in our Honda's and go to Wal-Mart, everything is fine! Wake up people!
