North Shore Fireworks Display Goes Bad

By KBJR News 1

It was a scary scene for folks watching fireworks on the North Shore Saturday night.

Local firefighters, who were in charge of the annual show at Bluefin Bay Resort in Tofte, said one of the tubes they were using to ignite the fireworks ruptured.

The explosion sent a round into the stockpile of fireworks. The chief said about 60 rounds of fireworks all went off at once.

The crowds that had gathered to watch started running away. Amazingly, no one was hurt.
