Bus Driver Guilty Of Careless Driving In Accident That Killed 6 Yr Old

An Iron Range school bus driver, charged in an accident which killed a six year old child, pleaded guilty today in an Itasca County Court.

Anita Ketola was driving the bus on April 6th near Calumet when it struck and killed six year old Dominick Lee Strey.

Ketola reached a plea agreement in which she was found guilty of misdemeanor crime of careless driving.

She was sentenced to 90 days in prison which was stayed for one year and had to pay 380 dollars in fines.
