By KBJR News 1

A Milwaukee native will be spending more than 12 years in prison for attempted murder in the second degree for a shooting in Duluth last summer.

Wednesday, 18 year old Robert Earl McKay III, was sentenced for shooting a man in the abdomen last July.

McKay was also found guilty of attempted assault in the first degree, assault in the second degree and possession of a firearm by an ineligible person.

He reportedly was seen laughing about the smoking wound afterwards.

McKay will also have to pay $100 in fines.
