No Water Contact Recommended At Boy Scout Landing

By KBJR News 1

A Water Contact Not Recommended advisory has been issued by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) for Boy Scout Landing Beach.

Elevated E. coli bacteria levels identified from samples collected Wednesday indicate the possible presence of fecal contamination.

The beach is scheduled to be re-sampled.

Boy Scout Landing Beach is located in New Duluth on Commonwealth Avenue, past the transition of Commonwealth Avenue and Evergreen Memorial Highway.

If anyone becomes ill after contact with beach water, contact the Minnesota Department of Health at 1-877-366-3455.
