Three Suspects In Custody In Connection To Cloquet Home Invasions

Cloquet Police now have three suspects in custody in connection with a pair of home invasion burglaries.

LeAnn Wallace is following this story.

Police say they have three main suspects in custody...two men and one woman, all Carlton County residents, between the ages of 18 and 19.

The suspects are believed to have been involved in two Cloquet home invasions late Sunday night, entering the homes through unlocked doors, stealing computer equipment and gaming systems plus a mini van.

Authorities say the homes seem to have been randomly targeted.

"Through our investigation we learned that the families did not know these individuals nor did the individuals know the families whose home they burglarized," says Deputy Chief Terry Hill of the Cloquet Police Department.

Authorities say a significant portion of the stolen items have been recovered.

All three suspects are being held at the Carlton County jail awaiting formal charges.

For now police say the preliminary charges are burglary in the first degree, but additional charges could be added... that's up to the county attorney's office.

They're expected to be arraigned tomorrow.
