Duluth Woman Loses Horse at Spirit Mountain

By KBJR News 1

A Duluth woman lost and found her horse after it bucked its rider off in the Spirit Mountain Area.

The picture above is of the missing 1,600-pound steed named Diego.

Diego's owner, Jaimi Nelson says a friend was riding the horse in the Spirit Mountain area Thursday afternoon, when the horse bucked the person to the ground and took off.

"Very scary thing," Nelson said. "I've never lost a horse in my life, and I've been riding all my life."

The horse was located Thursday evening.

The owner says several people searched for the animal on ATVs.
