A woman was killed Monday after two vehicles collided near highway 53.

The accident happened Monday morning at the intersection of Swan Lake road when a Buick, heading west and carrying three women, pulled out in front of a man driving a Chevy Trailblazer who was traveling north.

The woman who died was riding in the passenger seat when the accident happened.

The drivers of both cars escaped without serious injuries, but a woman riding in the rear passenger seat of the car had to be airlifted to the hospital.

Authorities are waiting until family members are notified to release the names of the victims.
