Duluth's Chester Park was full of families and artists today.
The organization Duluth and Beyond and the Anchor Point Community Church were hosting their second annual "Art in Me" event.
It's a hands on affair where families can come together and participate in more than a dozen art projects including mosaic stepping stones, leather pouches, wooden stamping, and cardmaking.
The hosting Church says it's a way to combine families, art, and children and really bless the community.
"This is just a way for us to say come for free, come and just have some fun, build as a family, grow as a family, and just enjoy this wonderful community that we live in," said Tiffany Gear, event coordinator.
Organizers say at least a thousand people turned out and they believe the beautiful weather helped.
