Great Lakes Aquarium Transforms Into Haunted Mansion

By KBJR News 1

Halloween is less than a week away, but it came early today at the Great Lakes Aquarium.

For the afternoon, the Aquarium was transformed into a spooky haunted mansion.

Kids eleven and under who came in costume, not only got in free, but they got to trick or treat for candy, see a magician, and watch scuba divers feed the fish.

Organizers say the event is a way for the aquarium to give a gift to the kids in the community.

Mary Pensak, volunteer coordinator at the Aquarium says, The best part of doing this is seeing how happy the kids are when they are here. Halloween is my favorite holiday, so I like to do something special on Halloween."

The "Serve group" as they call themselves at UMD was on site helping out with giving the candy to the kids.
