Duluth police are still asking for the public's help in locating the driver of a hit and run accident that left a teenager in critical condition early Saturday morning

Authorities say Alexander Balluff was walking south on the shoulder of the 2200 block of Rice Lake Road when he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.

Balluff was transported to St. Mary's where he remains in critical condition.

Police say the vehicle is an S–U–V, possibly a Honda, black in color.
The vehicle will have damage to the passenger side, as well as a broken–off mirror.

Balluff lives in the Twin Cities and was believed to have been in Duluth that night to visit friends. Kevin.

Police say they are still following leads and looking for additional witnesses...anyone with information is asked to call Duluth Police.

More info about Balluff can be found here:

I can't imagine how anyone could just drive off. Pam is right - it will come around! Putting it off won't make it easier! Hope Alex recovers quickly - I hear he has a wonderful family and friends!

Can't believe anybody could just drive off after striking someone, what a low-life! Hope the victim recovers quickly and without any long-term health problems. And don't they mean a broken-off SIDE-view mirror? Hard to imagine how the rear-view mirror, which is INSIDE of the vehicle, could be damaged by striking a pedestrian.
