Jim Stauber Retains Duluth City Council Seat

By KBJR News 1

In the race for Duluth City Council at Large, incumbent Jim Stauber came in second of four candidates.
The top two vote getters in the race get council seats.
Stauber celebrated his win at home with his children.
Stauber, a conservative, came in second to Dan Hartman, a democrat.
According to the councilor, that will keep the make up of the city council the same...which means a little more left than right.
"In my eight years it has always been that way. Duluth is fairly liberal compared to other cities. I find it challenging but rewarding working with folks on the other side." said Stauber.
Councilor Stauber passed on his best wishes to first place winner Dan Hartman and says he looks forward to working with him in leading the city of Duluth.
