The Lake Avenue Café in Duluth's Canal Park is getting a new look and new management.

The café has been open since 1990 and Patrick Cross and his wife Mary took ownership of the restaurant in 1997 and have now decided to retire.

The restaurant is currently undergoing a 4–day renovation giving the cafe an entirely new feel but not everything will be different.

"We're doing a full remodel, keeping the menu the same for about two months, but starting specials right off the bat, starting tomorrow, keeping the same heart and soul but bringing new blood into the place," says new co-owner Derek Snyder.

The owners say they plan to buy the majority of their food from local sources and hope to bring a new vibe to Canal Park.

The newly remodeled Lake Avenue Café will be open for business tomorrow.
