Senator Bakk Calls For Special Session

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Tom Bakk has sent a letter to Governor Tim Pawlenty calling for a special session of the Minnesota legislature.

Senator Bakk says the special session would be a single issue with a purpose of passing a construction projects bill before the end of the year.

The senator from Cook says the construction bill would allow the state to approve a slate of state-financed public works projects this year, allowing construction to get off the ground in April, giving a boost to the economy.
