Fundraiser For Solvay Hospice House

By KBJR News 1

November is National Hospice Month and the Miller-Dwan Foundation is helping to launch a fundraiser to help patients.

Super One Foods and Miller-Dwan are kicking-off the 'Cup of Care' Campaign.

Organizers say thirteen stores in the region are selling paper house ornaments to customers.

All ornament proceeds will benefit the Solvay Hospice House in Duluth. The facility provides end-of-life care to residents and health experts say the money raised pays for important needs.

"It helps provide care for patients who otherwise wouldn't be able to receive care, so it's very critical."

Organizers say they hope to raise around $16,000 from the campaign.
