The co-owner of a construction company in Hermantown has been charged with second degree assault for allegedly hitting a construction worker with the bucket of a backhoe.
According to the criminal complaint 48 year old Michael David Billman of Saginaw was just trying to nudge the 24 year old victim, because Billman said he was throwing equipment around and goofing off.
The victim suffered only minor injuries.
Billman is facing up to seven years in prison and 14 thousand dollars in fines.
