'Twas the Christmas City of the North Parade and all through Duluth not a single face was frowning, not even those in the booth.

The streets were closed in Canal and downtown for all for those dancers and all for those clowns.

Some people stood high and some sat low, while beauty queens and pom pom girls all waived hello. And moms and dads and their sons and daughters waived right back and shared giggles and laughters.

The moon was low and the temperature was high, giving these parade go–ers a grand old time.

And before everyone knew it, Santa was here, but don't worry. He'll be back next year.

The warm weather helped break a record tonight. An estimated 20,000 people lined the streets to watch the parade this year. Last year, roughly 12,000 people came out.

I was in the parade yesterday and OMG The crowd is coming at you. when a dance squad is coming through with a marching band...its called MOVE BACK....the band will not move for you....I was the dance squad with the lighted up purple and white poms, and i was taught to move striaght and hit ppl if they get in the way. i had to hit some random drunk guy that was coming towards me.....i felt no guilt, they need to watch it not get involved in it.

In the last few years it seems like all the parade consist of are marching bands and dance groups. We needs more floats and fun into the parade. Do we need marching bands from way far away and ENOUGH with the dancing kids, its getting VERY old. And I agree, the route SHOULD be extended. And where is the crowd control? Little kids running in the street of course with their parents too lazy to get them. More police!

Great Parade, but an event catered to children should be SMOKE FREE!!!! Kids are a perfect height for one of you smokers to burn their face!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Duluth East Band was awesome! All in all, though, I believe there needs to be better crowd control and no smoking allowed

The parade was nice, but the rudeness factor for this parade was OFF THE CHARTS. Whatever happened to manners?

I agree with Robert. Lovely parade however I too feel the route should be extended further down Superior Street,

In the regards to the parade. Duluth really needs to consider a new route. The way it is now is way to crowded for the kids to see what is going on in the parade. Instead of the parade coming down lake ave.the parade should be more spred out on superior street
