Firearm Deer Season Kicks Off In Wisconsin

Blaze orange is the dress code this weekend in the Badger state.

Wisconsin kicked off its firearm deer season opener on Saturday. Earlier that afternoon, the Four Corners Station near Pattison State Park saw several hunters bring their kills in for registration.

Sportsmen say it feels good to take advantage of the balmy conditions and put venison on their dinner table.

"It feels great when you make that shot and you go over there and you're not sure quite certain if you hit him (the deer) or not...and then you find him laying there on the ground--that's a good feeling," said hunter Michael Miller.

Officials say the firearm season lasts through November 29th.

It's good to see such an intelligent conversation taking place regarding hunting. I think everyone making a post should be required to include their educational background. From what I have read here it sounds like a lot of G.E.D.'s.
