A 45-year-old Cloquet woman has been charged for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend.
Shawn Marie Melton of Solway Township is accused of stabbed her 41 year old boyfriend multiple times in the chest with a butcher knife Saturday night.
Investigators say the Melton called 911 and reported she had stabbed a man in the chest.
Melton was charged Tuesday with assault in the first and second degree and domestic assault. Her boyfriend is currently recovering at St. Mary's in Duluth.
